    Use to open a request for help from a stranger on the platform.

    I'd like to go to Shimokitazawa...

    Say your destination and trail off with 〜んですが; it politely invites help.

  • みちまよってしまって。

    Michi ni mayotte shimatte.

    I've gotten a bit lost.

    Explains your situation when someone notices you looking confused.

  • この電車でんしゃってますか。

    Kono densha de attemasu ka.

    Is this the right train?

    Use to confirm before boarding.

  • たすかりました。ありがとうございます。

    Tasukarimashita. Arigatō gozaimasu.

    You've really helped me. Thank you.
